Flies

This Hi-vis version of the traditional Parachute Adams is much easier to see for us guys n gals with not so good eyesight.

The Royal Wulff is a classic fly that can be used in all streams and rivers. A great Mayfly and attractor pattern. 

The Elk Hair Caddis is probably the most well known caddis fly pattern. A simple fly that perfectly represents the caddis moth. Where ever your fishing for trout, you can bet that will be caddisflies. 

The Tungsten Flashback Pheasant Tail Nymph is a staple nymph that all fly anglers should have. This mayfly nymph pattern will be suitable on any water worldwide. 

The Tungsten Hare & Copper Flashback Nymph is an awesome fly for early season nymphing on the Thredbo river. When the water is high get one of these down deep and the trout won't be able to resist this nymph.

A locally designed fly to match the Caddis and Mayfly hatches that can be quite prolific on the Thredbo. A very nice variant of the ever reliable Klinkhammer.  

The Bead Head Prince Nymph is s popular stonefly nymph pattern. The brass bead head is grrsy for slower flowing water. 

The Jindy Bugger is a wooly bugger with a brass bead head in an olive color. This variant of the humble wooly bugger is tied in green to mimic mudeyes, damsels,  and even yabbies. If you're fishing Jindabyne and surrounds it pays to have some of these flies stashed in your box.

The Hare & Copper is one of the staple nymphs for every angler. The brass bead allows the fly to get down but still roll along the bottom in slower flows.

The Hot Creek Caddis is a low riding fly that looks like a caddis that is stuck on the film.  A parachute styled caddis emerger or cripple pattern that is hard to beat.

The White Moth is a simple feather winged fly. A great caddis pattern or even for the lighter colored mayflies. A traditional pattern that will fish well in still or rough water. 

Humpies come in lots of colors and sizes. The Royal Humpy is a white hair winged version. Great as a beetle, caddis, mayfly, or even just as a searching or attractor pattern. A very versatile fly.

Black Tungsten Bead Head Nymphs are essential for all nymph fishers flybox. The tungsten bead get this fly down fast, and the flashback wing-case give it a little sparkle. A good all round nymph when your flies need to be on the bottom. 

Tungsten Flashback Nymph in Olive color is a great caddis nymph or mayfly nymph. The tungsten bead will cut through the water and get the fly down to the feeding fish. When the water is fast and deep tungsten beadhead flies are essential. 

The Parchute Adams is an all time favorite fly around here in the Snowy Mountains. A superb emerger pattern that is an effective dryfly just about anywhere. 

Mick Hall's Chopper Hopper is a great looking grasshopper pattern. When it's hopper season you really need a couple of the  beauties ready to go.

Great nymph with a bit of weight with a Gold Bead.

Probably the most used nymph where Mayflies are present. A must for every fly box.

The Bead Head Woolly Bugger Black is a brass bead weighted wooly bugger that will be down to the fish. A very versatile pattern that should be in the favourite in every flyfishers fly box. 

Manic Tackle have made the stimulator more buggy! This legged version of the Stimmy doesn't just look good it fishes good too!

Mick Hall's Peeping Stick Caddis is Mick's take on the stick caddis nymph. Caddis can be found in just about every trout stream in the world and caddis nymphs are a  big part of a trout diet.

The CDC Caddis Green is a sits right in the miniscus. It's a great emerger or crippled pattern. This fly can also be fished wet. 

The CDC Comparadun is a perfect still water fly for those time when you have to get everything right. Sits low in the film, and the CDC wing can bee seen from a distance.

This brown bodied mayfly pattern can be fished anywhere there are trout. A natural color to match our local mayflies.

The Royal Coachman is one of the original mayfly imitations.  A feather wing fly that can be used on all water. Petty much a dry fly fishing staple, if you don't have any in your fly box, you better get some. 

Bushys Emerger is an awesome mayfly emerger pattern. A low riding fly that is irresistible to even te most picky trout. 

Elk Hair Caddis - White is a very good Caddis imitation for the "Snowflake Caddis" that is often found on the local rivers and streams.

Mick Hall's All Round Brown Nymph is a classic nymph. This pheasant style creation by Mick Hall will catch more trout than most other nymphs. 

Mick Hall's Penstock Brown Comp Dun is a parachute styled mayfly pattern. With some foam and poly-yarn in the wingpost this Dun will float all day.
