Dry Flies

The Royal Wulff is a classic fly that can be used in all streams and rivers. A great Mayfly and attractor pattern. 

The Elk Hair Caddis is probably the most well known caddis fly pattern. A simple fly that perfectly represents the caddis moth. Where ever your fishing for trout, you can bet that will be caddisflies. 

Mick Hall's Para Caddis is a killer during the caddis hatches in the local streams. This emerger/parachute style of fly is essential for the flybox. 

This Hi-vis version of the traditional Parachute Adams is much easier to see for us guys n gals with not so good eyesight.

The Klink Quill is a slim bodied emerger with a Hi-vis parachute wing. Fussy trout will find this fly hard to refuse. 

Perfect for early season hopper fishing and a great caddis and moth imitation.

Noel's Knobby is a spun deer hair grasshopper pattern that floats like a boat. The yellow chenille body is the perfect color for our local grasshoppers. 

The Knobby Hopper is a spun deer hair grasshopper pattern that floats all day. A nice big fly that's easy to see. 

A locally designed fly to match the Caddis and Mayfly hatches that can be quite prolific on the Thredbo. A very nice variant of the ever reliable Klinkhammer.  

The CDC Caddis Green is a sits right in the miniscus. It's a great emerger or crippled pattern. This fly can also be fished wet. 

The Tan variant of the Spotlight Caddis is a more natural looking fly. Low riding but still very buoyant.

The CDC Comparadun is a perfect still water fly for those time when you have to get everything right. Sits low in the film, and the CDC wing can bee seen from a distance.

This brown bodied mayfly pattern can be fished anywhere there are trout. A natural color to match our local mayflies.

Mick Hall's Rubber Legged Royal Wulff is a great twist on the Royal Wulff. The rubber legs really keep the fly nice and stable on the surface.

The CDC Thorax Dun can be fished as an emerger or dry. This Mayfly imitation sits in the miniscus. A nice delicate fly that's perfect for smaller water. 

Mick Hall's Black Spinner is a full tackle bodied mayfly pattern. This high riding fly sits nice and proud in the surface.  Fantastic in still water and smaller streams.

Mick Hall's Green Water Beetle is a nice gum beetle imitation up here in the Snowy Mountains. Fishes just below the surface in still or fast water. 

Mick Hall's Penstock Brown Comp Dun is a parachute styled mayfly pattern. With some foam and poly-yarn in the wingpost this Dun will float all day. 

The Hippie Stomper is part beetle part blowfly. A very buoyant fly suitable for all water.

Rene's Lace Moth is a fantastic Caddis imitation. Although tied as a moth, this is a very realistic caddis pattern as well. 

Mick Hall's Orange Spent Spinner gets stuck in the surface and nothing is more appealing to a hungry fish like easy prey. When the mayflies are done trout just gorge themselves on spinners.

The Twighlight Beauty is a classic upwing style of fly. A lovely mayfly imitation. A real classic.

The Black Cricket is a great early season hopper pattern. The Black color is particularly good for the crickets in spring and early summer. 

Dad's Favorite is a classic English style upwing fly. An old school fly that's perfect for the modern flyfisher.

Manic Tackles Quill Spinner is a smaller parachute styled mayfly pattern. A great high country fly for smaller creeks and streams.

One of the most popular emerger patterns of modern flyfishing. A very low sitting fly that presents well, and the trout love them!!

A Humpy style fly that is a must have if travelling  across the ditch to New Zealand. Also a great aussie fly for fishing the summer months.
