Dry Flies

The Hot Creek Caddis is a low riding fly that looks like a caddis that is stuck on the film.  A parachute styled caddis emerger or cripple pattern that is hard to beat.

The CDC Caddis in brown is a natural coloured caddis pattern that will sit in the film. The CDC wing will help keep this fly floating. Untreated, this fly will also fish well as a nymph/emerger.

The Great Lakes Gum beetle is a realistic foam beetle pattern that floats all day. A must have if fishing mid summer months here in Jindabyne and surrounds.

Humpies are a must have in every flyfishers fly box. Originally tied as a beetle imitation but are a very versatile pattern and can be effectively used for caddis and mayfly hatches.

Mick Hall's Brown Water Beetle is a brown colored beetle imitation. Beetles can be found just about anywhere.

Koichi's CDC Cripple sits low in the water looking like a mayfly that just didn't make to full stage. An easy prey for the wary trout!.

The Great Lakes Beetle is full body hackle beetle pattern. A great soldier beetle or jacid beetle imitation.

Manic Tackles Bumfluff Stimmi is a CDC version of the Stimulator will float all day. A very versatile pattern for all water.

Mick Hall's Little Green Wattle Beetle is a fantastic gum beetle pattern. When the gum beetles are out, this little fly will get you into the action.

1. The CDC Floating Nymph, when you need The fly to be just below the surface or on top! Can be fished both wet and dry. Super versatile fly for "spooky" trout.

These smaller mayfly imitations are a great early seasonfly when the bugs are a bit smaller. A very small but very deadly fly.

Mick Hall's Spent Black Spinner sits right in the miniscus. A spent mayfly is always an easy target for feeding trout. 

A legendary emerger pattern from Tasmania designed by Peter Hayes. A simple but deadly fly for surface and just below the surface,  it can be fished wet or dry.

Mick Hall's Rubber Legged Blowfly will sit perfectly on the water. Both great for blowfly and beetles. Great searching pattern.

A modern variant of the ever reliable Red Tag fly. Fantastic beetle imitation.

The Manic tackle Peacock Humpy is a modern twist on an old favorite.  Tied with  peacock herl body it's a super versatile fly that get the job done.

This Mayfly imitation is perfect for those fussy surface feeding fish. A light grey body with a small red hot-spot at the tail.

This Humpy variant is perfect for a blowfly imitation. Whether your travelling to New Zealand or fishing your home water here in Australia. 

The Royal Coachman is one of the original mayfly imitations.  A feather wing fly that can be used on all water. Petty much a dry fly fishing staple, if you don't have any in your fly box, you better get some. 

Bushys Emerger is an awesome mayfly emerger pattern. A low riding fly that is irresistible to even te most picky trout. 

The Kosciousko Dun is prevalent during the mid to late summer months in the high country. This imitation is essential for any angler coming to the Snowy Mountains. 

A nice big foam bug. This hopper pattern will be sure to lure those big predators up to the surface for a snack!! Easy to see and floats like a boat. 

The Manic Tackle X-Stimmy stimulator variant is a great grasshopper or any other large bug imitation. Easy to see. Fishes well in all water.  

The Black Wullff is a great Stillwater fly for picky mayfly feeding trout. A good pocketwater fly to fish with.

The Yellow Foam Film Willow Grub is perfect for fishing areas that have Sawflies. Fished in the film, great for picky willow grub feeders.

This parachute styled blowfly with a foam body is great for fishing the fast water. Perfect low sitting long floating fly.

The Red Tag fly is one of the best beetle imitations you can fish. A simple but effective fly for all year round. 

The Kakahi Queen is another classic upwing mayfly pattern from New Zealand. A beautiful looking fly that should be in your fly box.

Mick Hall's Ruby Bug will sit high on the surface and float all day. A nice green beetle pattern. Can be a great soldier beetle imitation. 

anic Tackles  Low Blow is just like the Hippie Stomper but sits lower in the film. A great beetle and blow fly imitation. 

A brighter variant of the traditional Humpy fly. When you need the trout to see your fly! Great for when the Gum Beetles are falling.

Humpies come in lots of colors and sizes. The Royal Humpy is a white hair winged version. Great as a beetle, caddis, mayfly, or even just as a searching or attractor pattern. A very versatile fly.
